Bluestone Vineyards is an award-winning English sparkling wine estate in Wiltshire, producing traditional method wines from estate-grown fruit. Our wines have received international recognition, including a Decanter Platinum Award, placing us among the most exciting producers in English wine.
This role is responsible for the smooth running of the tasting room, ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional welcome and a memorable introduction to Bluestone wines. Reporting to the Sales Manager and working with the wider team, the Tasting Room Manager will oversee the tasting room team, manage bookings, run internal events, and contribute to the tasting room's growth and direction.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the tasting room and visitor experience
• Lead, train, and support the tasting room team
• Ensure consistently high standards of hospitality, presentation, and service
• Host wine tastings and welcome visiting groups when required
• Promote wine sales and encourage Wine Club membership among visitors
• Manage bookings for tastings, tours, and hospitality experiences
• Monitor stock levels and maintain retail displays and merchandising standards
• Manage POS systems, reporting, and day-to-day administrative tasks
• Support the planning and delivery of on-site events
• Work closely with the Sales Manager and Bluestone team to continually improve the visitor offering
• Play a key role in growing Bluestone’s visitor experience and Wine Club community
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of the tasting room during busy periods and in the absence of the Sales Manager
• Oversee a busy calendar of internal events
About You
• Experience in hospitality, retail, winery, or visitor attractions
• A confident team leader with excellent customer service skills
• Sales-minded with the ability to encourage wine purchases and Wine Club membership
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable hosting guests and speaking about wine
• Confident with reporting, spreadsheets, and POS systems
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and key events essential
• Full manual driving licence essential
• WSET qualifications desirable
• A good communicator and team player
