Bluestone Vineyards is a premium English sparkling wine estate seeking an enthusiastic and confident External Events & Tour Host to represent the vineyard both on-site and at external events.
This is a varied, guest-facing role focused on sharing the Bluestone story, hosting vineyard tours and tastings, and representing the estate at farmers markets, wine fairs, and events. The role is sales-driven and ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, promoting great wine, and encouraging guests to visit the vineyard.
Working closely with the Sales Manager and tasting room team, the External Events & Tour Host will play an important role in growing brand awareness, driving wine sales, and converting visitors into loyal Bluestone customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Bluestone Vineyards at farmers markets, wine fairs, and external events
- Set up, manage, and operate Bluestone stalls at external events
- Confidently introduce guests to Bluestone wines and the story of the estate
- Actively encourage wine sales and Wine Club membership
- Build relationships with customers and encourage return visits to the vineyard
- Lead public vineyard tours and host tastings for visiting groups
- Deliver engaging and informative tours of the vineyard and winery when required
- Support tasting room service during busy periods when needed
- Assist with the setup and smooth running of on-site events
- Maintain excellent product knowledge across the Bluestone wine range
- Process sales through POS systems and record external event sales
- Assist with packing, transport, and logistics for off-site events
- Collect customer contacts and marketing leads where appropriate
About You
- A confident communicator who enjoys meeting and engaging with people
- Sales-minded with the ability to encourage purchases and Wine Club membership
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and comfortable representing the Bluestone brand
- Comfortable speaking to groups and leading vineyard tours
- Organised and capable of managing event setups independently
- Willing to work weekends and travel to external events
- Physically capable of assisting with event setup, including lifting and carrying equipment such as wine cases, display materials, and marquees
- Interest in wine (WSET qualifications desirable but not essential)
- Full manual driving licence essential
