Aldwick is a 300-acre family owned estate within easy reach of the city of Bristol, comprising vineyards, accommodation and a successful wedding and conference venue.
Aldwick Estate is seeking a new Vineyard Manager to oversee the 4.5 hectares of highly productive, high-quality vineyards. The successful candidate will ideally have proven experience in Viticulture and the management of a small team. They need to have a good understanding of cool climate varieties and an understanding of the English winemaking process.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and organised but is also a team player. Candidates need to be dedicated to ensuring the continuous improvement of the vineyards to enable the production of quality crops and maintenance of our soils. This family run organisation focuses on producing estate grown, international award-winning wines. Ideally candidates will possess:
Applicant Skills and qualifications:
§ Viticulture degree or equivalent
§ 5 years cool climate vineyard management experience
§ Competent tractor operator, including spraying (PA1,2 & 3 licences preferable)
§ Strong IT skills
§ Eligible to work in the UK
§ Driving licence essential
