About the role

The Regional Business Development Manager is primarily focused on growing Ridgeview’s presence in high end on trade London locations.  The role’s key focus is developing new business opportunities and relationships, as well as maintaining strong existing sales relationships within this channel in-line with Ridgeview’s overall sales and brand strategy.

What you will need to be a successful applicant :

  • Experience of working in a sales environment with proven ability to hit targets and win new business.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the London on-trade market and contacts within it.
  • Good level of premium wine or spirits knowledge with drive to acquire specific expertise of English sparking wine to establish credibility with customers and consumers.
  • Knowledge of sparkling wine category, specifically in a commercial context of competitors from English and other sparkling wines.
  • Experience of hosting tastings and / or other customer facing events – a confident communicator
  • Proven experience of building successful long term positive partnerships with prestigious on trade clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the wine industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed.
  • Passion for, and knowledge of, the English wine industry.

  • Motivated to deliver on results; commercially driven with a strong analytical ability
