Hencote est. 2015 is dedicated to producing quality sparkling and still wine from our 6.5 hectare vineyard and is seeking a Vineyard Operative to join our small, dynamic team in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

Ideal candidates requirements and responsibilities:

• Principal responsibilities in this position is to carry out tractor and machinery related operations in the vineyard and surrounds. To maintain all vineyard equipment in an optimum state of repair and participation with team in manual seasonal vineyard tasks.   

 

• The applicant should be punctual as well as a positive and proactive member of our small, skilled team with an ability to carry out instruction accurately and implement their role in the work plan to a high standard. 

 

• Multiple years tractor driver experience required, including pesticide sprayer operation and various agricultural implements

 

• Current drivers licence, PA1, PA6 and PA3 Spray certificates preferred

 

• General: Able to work alone and as part of a team, of sound physical condition for manual work including heavy lifting, an affinity to mechanisation and DIY.
