We’re looking for a hands-on Venue Supervisor to help us grow pour., a wine bar and craft-beer venue serving charcuterie boards, coffee, and carefully curated drinks in the heart of Ruddington.
You’ll work closely with the owners to make the venue a success day-to-day, combining great service with smart operations. This is a working supervisor role — you’ll be behind the bar, on the floor, and part of a small, friendly team that prides itself on great hospitality with a community feel.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient service, ensuring our team are providing excellent, friendly and compliant service to our customers
· Create and manage staff rotas
· Oversee hygiene, safety, allergen and compliance standards
· Licensing awareness – ensuring compliance with our premises license; Personal License preferred.
· Maintain bar and cellar areas — including changing kegs and cleaning draught lines
· Manual handling – comfortable lifting/moving kegs and stock.
· Clean and maintain equipment, bar areas, and glassware
· Manage online orders, collections, and click-and-collect service
· Support stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
· Open and close the venue, including cashing up and end-of-day checks. Key holding.
· Ensure that our team are on top of daily checks and ongoing cleaning and hygiene
· Help plan and deliver in-house events
· Creation of engaging social media content for our owners to use in creative marketing campaigns
· Uphold pour’s warm, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for every guest
About You
· Supervisory experience in a bar or café environment
· Skilled barista with food service and kitchen awareness
· Experience working with bar and draught equipment
· Genuine interest in wine and craft drinks
· Holds Level 2 Food Hygiene (Level 3 preferred)
· Familiar with stock/pos systems (we use sumup and shopify)
· Organised, reliable, and able to lead by example
· Positive, approachable, and collaborative — we’ve built a great team atmosphere and we’re looking for someone who’ll strengthen it, not boss it
· Must be available for evening & weekend work, with early starts (from 8:30am) and late finishes (up to 10:30pm) as required
· Have a right to work in the UK
Details
Salary: up to £28,500 per year (depending on experience)

Contract: 40 hours per week, mix of day, evening and weekend shifts
