We are once again offering an opportunity to join our team as a Harvest Assistant, from now until early October 2026, in a beautiful boutique vineyard in West Sussex. It will be hard work but a great opportunity to experience all aspects of the grape harvest, wine production and our vineyard hospitality which runs alongside all this.
Nutbourne is a long established, family run, farm and wine producer situated near Pulborough in West Sussex. We use regenerative farming techniques carefully balancing
our activities with care for the environment. 10 hectare of the land is under vine and all aspects of wine production take place here on site. We have achieved considerable success in both National and International competitions and enjoy a fine reputation as a leading UK wine producer. Throughout the summer, visitors come to enjoy the unique setting, our exceptional hospitality and taste and buy our wines.
Our Harvest Assistants help with all aspects of the vineyard operation at this time of year. This includes but is not limited to:
o Grape picking and collecting
o Assisting the wine makers in the winery
o Hosting the winery cellar door
o Assisting with tours & events
o Bottling and labelling wines
Our team members work approximately 40 hours per week over 5 days, including most Saturdays.
Knowledge of wine and/or a qualification in viticulture is an advantage, but more important is enthusiasm to become part of our motivated, hard working team. Previous Harvest Assistants have gone on to permanent roles in the London wine trade, joined other UK producers or travelled to work in other wine regions around the world.

Salary will be £510 per 40 hour week worked. Employees will need their own transport and accommodation in the local area.
