ROLE DESCRIPTION

The role is for a committed and passionate Retail Sales Assistant to join the Weavers Team. Our history and its people are our greatest asset. We ensure that we deliver exceptional service every time and that’s why our customers keep coming back. Whether they are long standing customers or are experiencing Weavers for the first time, your role is to ensure that the customer’s wine needs are met.

A passion for wine, a desire to learn and the dedication and personality to deliver outstanding customer service are more important than previous wine retail experience.

The main role consists of:

  • Serving and advising customers on their choice of wines and spirits.

  • Communicating with the warehouse to ensure that stock levels at the shop are maintained.

  • Creating shop displays aligned with the sales plans.

  • Assisting with the shop deliveries.

  • Assisting in the maintenance of the website and database.

  • Article writing and assisting with the wine club.

  • Assisting in the marketing of the company such as social media.

  • Hours - full time 37.5 hours per week to include Saturday and occasional evening work.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A passion and understanding for wine and spirits.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.

  • Communication, both written and verbal.

  • Personability. A polite and friendly manner is paramount to ensure that we maintain the customer service that Weavers has become known for. 

  • Physical fitness. The role requires physical fitness such as lifting and unloading stock and working across multiple floors.

THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES ARE NOT ESSENTIAL BUT ARE BENEFICIAL

  • WSET qualifications.

  • Sales and retail experience (preferably in the wine industry).

  • Marketing experience.
