We are looking for an ambitious, proactive and creative marketer to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in all of Jascots’ marketing activities and responsibility for content creation, social media, PR and operational marketing.
Jascots is an award winning wine merchant focussed on the fast growing smart casual sector throughout London and the South of England. We are proud to supply some of the most dynamic hotels, restaurants and caterers in the UK with an exclusive range of wines sourced direct from producers across Europe and the rest of the world.
Our diverse team come from a variety of backgrounds across the food and wine industries but all share a common desire to help our customers get the most from the category. As we continue to expand our sales team and client base this is a particularly exciting time to join the business and develop your career with us.
The role requires:
- At least 1 year’s experience in a marketing or PR role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrable grasp of social media (content creation and analysis)
- Ambition, determination, creativity and flexibility
- A love of food, wine and restaurants
A great candidate might have:
- CIM certificate/diploma or CIPR award/certificate/diploma
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or Imovie or other video editing software
- Skill in photography and experience copywriting/proofing
- Knowledge of and contacts in the smart casual dining sector
- WSET Level 3 (or be working towards this)
The role – communications:
1. Creation and distribution of content for social media channels, blogs and newsletters
2. Evidence product quality e.g. tech sheets, press cuttings, wine lists, online short lists etc.
3. Day to day PR activities – pitching products, drafting releases and responding to media requests
4. Compilation and organisation of award entries
The role - operational marketing:
1. Ensure accurate & timely CRM records of leads generated to enable live pipeline analysis
2. Create collateral demonstrating relevance of services/training and testimonial value of clients
3. Event planning and organisation e.g. industry fairs, product launches, portfolio tastings
4. Coordination of tender submissions for key accounts
KPIs:
Leads generated and resultant new business
Frequent and incisive analysis of SEO, google advertising, web enquiries & CRM
Accuracy and relevance of collateral and content created
Enhancement of Jascots corporate brand equity measured in coverage, interactions, klout and recall
Rewards/benefits:
Salary £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience as well as bonus scheme and support towards gaining vocational qualifications.
