National Account Executive (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Freixenet Copestick are looking for a National Account Executive to support the Senior National Account Manager and the wider sales team.

This role will: retain, develop and grow customers to advance the distribution of FXC owned and partner brands; build and maintain strong relationships with On-Trade National Retail and Brewer customers and develop and deliver new prospect customers.

The role is to service customers predominantly in the North West and Midlands, but also working in London, Swindon and Norfolk. We are looking for someone based in a location who can service these areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales and profit targets.
  • Build effective Head Office working relationships with Buyers to gain new listings, and with National & Regional Sales Teams as appropriate to drive focus of FXC’s brands to maximise distribution.
  • Attendance at customer sales meetings as required to develop relationships, increase focus on FXC drive brands and to exploit new distribution opportunities.
  • Support for National Retail customers at trade events, as well as regular meetings with customers.
  • Forecasting for all new and existing listings. 
  • Work closely with internal support functions (Marketing, Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, Finance).
  • Manage specific National On Trade Retail accounts in their entirety (as agreed with SNAM), taking ownership and responsibility for delivering volume and margin contribution for these accounts, including new business.
  • Agree Marketing activations with relevant customers that will assist in the retention and growth of FXC Brands. 

Requirements

  • WSET Level 2 or 3 desirable.
  • Wine industry experience, or experience of working with National/Regional Brewers, or both.
  • Experience of working with, and developing, brands from sales perspective.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Knowledge of the UK On Trade desirable.
  • Experience in developing existing customers, and also delivering new business wins.

  • Knowledge and experience of key Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Good organisational, Time Management and Planning skills.

£28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
25 days’ holiday +1 day for your birthday (plus bank holidays)
