we are looking for a candidate to come and join our team to support our wine-maker and vineyard manager.
This is an opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to develop their skills across all elements in the wine trade. Your focus will be in both the vineyard and the winery. But here at Mereworth, we take the grape, from field to foam. We want you also to help us sell our wines, both on tours, and in our thriving bar and shop.
In joining our team, we will teach you how to not only make wine, and manage a vineyard, but how to present and sell our wine. We are close to London and we are seeing greater numbers of tourists interested in the experiences we offer. We are looking for someone to share this vision; who enjoys making, talking and drinking our wine. 
Role
  • Wine-makers assistant
  • Sales and support in our cellar door.
Responsibilities
  • Vineyard support including
    • Tractor driver
    • Spray management 
    • Pruning
    • Harvest support
  • Winery Support
    • Press management
    • Wine-making support
    • Cleaning regime management
    • Bottling & labelling
    • Disgorging
    • Product reporting
  • Cellar door support
    • Tours and Tasting support
    • Hospitality support [including weekends when required]
    • Retail management of products
The successful candidate;
  • Graduate [Wine-making & viticulture preferable]
  • 2 years experience in agricultural / viticultural / winery related work
  • Demonstrative interest in wine
  • drivers licence
  • Understanding of farmyard machinery
  • Spray certification [eg. PA1, PA3] not essential but preferable.
  • Presentable and has the willing to learn
  • Personable and the ability to work in a small team.

£22-26k depending on experience
