Looking for Full and Part Time

Drop Wine is a network of wine bars and bottle shops in London, which also offers on demand delivery via our app to local wine lovers. We are now looking for part time and full time Wine Waiters/Retail Assistants for our Kensington store.

Drop started as an App in 2016 with a great idea to get a bottle of wine to thirsty customers within the hour. Since then we've expanded and there are Drop shops and bars in Covent Garden, Clapham, Kensington, Dulwich and Amersham.

At each of our locations customers can buy retail wine to take away or stay for a glass or a bottle, alongside delicious cold food platters.

We love wine and want people to taste more, discover more and drink more great wine. Our wine philosophy is to offer guests the opportunity to enjoy and discover truly great wine, without breaking the bank. We have a mix of off the beaten track varieties that provide great value and interest, as well as icons of the wine world with suitable cellar age. We only work with independent wine producers that respect nature and work sustainably and in doing so we pay them a fair price for their efforts.

We're not necessarily looking for a Master of Wine. WSET Level 2 or 3 would be ideal, but not a deal breaker. A blend of retail and hospitality experience would be beneficial.

What's most important to us is a positive attitude, willingness to learn and love of all things wine and food. If you regularly attend wine tastings, always visit the local vineyard when you're on holiday or reliably bring the best wine to a dinner party then get in touch.

We will give you in-depth wine training and you’ll have the opportunity to taste and learn all 200+ wines we have on our shelves; the quirky stuff as well as the Icons.

We offer 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) and an exceptionally nice crew of colleagues all come with the territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers in choosing the perfect bottle of wine
  • Serving wine by the glass
  • Preparing and serving food - typically cold platters and nibbles
  • Opening and closing the shops (for some of the roles available)
  • Accurate stock taking
  • Keeping the shops clean, tidy and welcoming
  • Assisting with social media presence

 

Benefits:

£12-£14 p/hr depending on experience. Service charge added.
