Gusbourne is a leading English wine producer, with an uncompromising approach to every aspect of the business. With 90 hectares under vine, we only produce vintage wine from grapes we grow ourselves.
Due to increasing demand we are seeking to expand our UK commercial team with a highly motivated individual who has relevant experience which includes selling across all channels of the Trade.
This is a rare opportunity to join a luxury sparkling wine brand and help Gusbourne on its next stage of growth
Reporting to the UK Head of Sales the main responsibilities of the roles are -
- Maintaining and growing existing direct relationships with customers in the region.
- Prospecting and converting new direct Off trade opportunities. This should include luxury retail, independent merchants and prestige caterers.
- Prospecting and converting new direct On trade opportunities. This should include 4& 5* hotels, restaurants, wine bars and ‘gastro-pubs’.
- Identify any relevant National trade opportunities and assist the team in any efforts to secure that business.
- Providing ongoing support to the above through a thorough and well managed process of staff training, on site tasting, and tutored tastings.
- Ensuring that monthly sales targets in the region are met or exceeded whilst maintaining the goals and aspirations set out for the brand.
- Hosting events for customers at the winery in Kent as necessary.
Candidates should be able to meet the following criteria -
- WSET Level 3 or above
- Minimum 1-2 years sales experience.
- Organised and methodical
- Self-starter
- A good network of relevant Trade contacts in the Region
- Excellent presentation skills
- Driving licence, own transport
- Based in London
