ABOUT NEWCOMER WINES
Newcomer Wines has been at the forefront of representing some of the most forward-thinking growers in the ‘New’ Old World today. Starting from a passion project in 2014, we have been gradually expanding our Austrian expertise to (re)connect long forgotten, however culturally or historically interconnected regions like Tokaj, Alto Adige, Mosel and the Valais. Whether borrowing from, or rewriting tradition, our growers share a common purpose — to make wines that are an honest reflection of the place and the people that make them, leaving as little imprint on the natural world — and the wines themselves — as they go. In 2018, we partnered with Kiffe My Wines, friends who hold the same ethos as us with a speciality in French wines. Together the Newcomer Kiffe family represents 50+ growers across 7 countries and 34 regions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are planning to bring on board a Logistics and Distribution Manager to support our day-to-day operations and streamline our work processes. The individual we are looking for will ideally have experience in a similar administrative role, however we also consider candidates looking to transition into an administrative role and who are eager to learn on the job. This is the perfect role for someone looking to be part of a young dynamic start-up that encourages a pro-active and outside-of-the-box working environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATION
◾ Supervise daily order processing from trade and private clients, including proactive correspondence with our clients and warehouse partner
◾ Facilitate trade enquiries for sales lead generation
◾ Coordinate winemaker purchase orders to streamline international pick-ups
◾ Update, analyse and communicate stock reports and updates across teams
◾ Manage accounting and sales platforms to reflect inventory changes
CUSTOMER SERVICE
◾ Respond to ad-hoc client queries and liaise with warehouse partner to ensure great and timely customer service
◾ Update a range of client software tools, including Saffron and ProcureWizard
◾ Handle general company enquiries and facilitate correspondence across a variety of teams
REQUIREMENTS
◾ Strong written and spoken English skills
◾ Advanced organisational skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and a willingness to learn on the job
◾ Comfortable working in a high-paced environment, juggling more than one task at once
◾ An approach to getting things done quickly and to a high standard — an eye for details is key
◾ Ability to work independently and in a team
PLUS
◾ Knowledge of additional languages, in particular French and German
◾ WebDesign and basic Adobe Suite skills
◾ Salesforce CRM skills
