We are now seeking a Head of Food & Beverage to join us on our journey. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping our menu and product range, driving innovation, and ensuring every dish reflects our brand values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full food development agenda, setting strategic direction for product range and innovation.
  • Plan and manage the end-to-end menu development programme, including milestones, dependencies, and rollouts.
  • Partner with insights and development chefs to ensure briefs are grounded in guest needs and market trends.
  • Ensure all menu changes align with brand pledges, sourcing policies, and standards.
  • Develop, cost, and price new dishes to meet GP targets.
  • Manage and support the menu process team, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Conduct supplier visits to explore NPD opportunities and secure market-leading innovation.
  • Communicate pipeline innovation clearly across the business to ensure alignment.
  • Lead monthly executive food innovation sessions, including agenda setting and follow-up.
  • Act as the organisational conscience of menu development, ensuring alignment and delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and project management capability.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence across diverse teams.
  • Passion for food and empathy with chefs, driven by curiosity and creativity.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn Adobe InDesign.
  • Significant experience in the food industry, with a well-rounded understanding of menu development.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent senior leadership experience.
  • Food-specific, leadership, or project management qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

What’s in It for You

  • Competitive salary
  • Hybrid working model
  • Inclusive “come as you are” culture, with modern offices and perks
  • £200 monthly Wagamama food allowance
  • Private healthcare
  • 3% pension contribution
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Discounts across retail, hospitality, and leisure
  • Family-friendly pay: 26 weeks full pay + 13 weeks half pay for expectant or adopting parents
