We are looking for an experienced wine professional with managerial and buying proficiency to head up our new concept in central London. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in a managerial role, be an excellent communicator with good people skills and be highly motivated, confident, and trustworthy.

Our clientele will expect the highest quality service and expect trusted wine expertise in both on-premise service and in retail experience

Responsibilities:

• To recruit and train the wine team to ensure smooth operational service including managing rotas, setting team responsibilities and KPI’s.
• To manage stocks efficiently including buying Fine Wine
• To offer expertise to our clients backed up by high levels of wine knowledge
• The achievement of sale targets

Requirements:

• WSET Level 3-4 or equivalent Sommelier qualifications
• Experience in recruitment and team management
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with wine list management and Fine Wine Buying
• Experience with managing inventory and finances
• An ability to work independently and to take responsibility
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A high standard of personal presentation
• Professionalism
• Commercial awareness
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
