Full or Part-Time Copywriter
(Wine Jobs:
Sales & Marketing)
Full Time
Oddbins
London,
England
Do you love wine? Do you love language? Are you bored of reading dull, standard product descriptions of Sauvignon Blanc that contain the words ‘gooseberry’, ‘elderflower’ and/or ‘cut grass’? Can you quickly make a theoretical link between Kim Kardashian and a Xynomavro, and then produce fun and interesting copy to explain that link? Do you immerse yourself in the latest developments in politics, culture, fashion and food? Would you get upset when queueing in a supermarket if a sign asked you to have ’10 items or less’ in your basket?
If so, please keep reading. We are looking for a smart, funny (perhaps, borderline insane) copywriter to produce a range of copy for the business - from a short tasting note for a new beer, to a substantial and academic essay criticising the UK wine trade. Applicants should be aware of, and ready to adapt to the Oddbins’ tone, but also able to contribute something fresh, new and challenging to our style. The position is not office based but would require occasional office work and meetings.
