Export Sales Manager - Europe (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Role:

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an award-winning brewer undergoing rapid expansion both nationally and internationally. As an Export Sales Manager, you will support our network of key distributors to deliver incremental and new business to fulfil our accelerated growth plans.

You will be responsible for profitably growing the distribution and volume in the territory as well as increasing the profile of Harviestoun in all channels of the marketplace. The role encompasses both account management and prospecting new opportunities in emerging markets. It requires a high level of motivation, commercial acumen and organisation as you will be responsible for negotiating across a number of countries and appointed distributers.

Who we're looking for:

Essential:

• Graduate-calibre candidates with a minimum of 2 years proven track record in European distribution.  
• Ideally, you will come from a drinks background, however, excellent candidates with FMCG/account management and strong branded backgrounds may also be considered.
• Minimum of 2 languages English and/or French, Spanish or German.
• In-depth knowledge of the European Export market.
• Well organized, efficient planner.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Passion for the beer trade.
• Highly motivated to succeed.
• Strong sales instincts. 
 

Desirable:

• WSET/Beer academy qualifications would be advantageous.
• Formal Sales training. 
 

Responsibilities: 

Export Manager – Europe - responsibilities include:

• Effectively managing all existing distributers within the territory.
• Effectively managing range, pricing and driving volume growth with our key distributors.
• Driving new business and maintaining a dynamic prospect list across emerging trends and markets.
• Increasing the awareness and presence of Harviestoun brewery in the territory and representing the company at key trade events, festivals, tastings and industry events.
