E-commerce Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

You have a direct ownership and responsibility to drive the Ecommerce strategic achievement within the UK market.

Responsible for: Business Development, Merchandising & Content Management, Activations & Campaigns, Performance Marketing, Team Management, Operations, and KPIs management.

Business Development:

  • With the local leadership in your country and region, you will define strategies and tactical measures to drive P&L improvement.
  • Report on Net Sales, Gross Margin and Profit Development of your channel(s).
  • Use web analytics and competitive studies to identify qualified business opportunities.
  • Identify and work to leverage Maison websites, local marketplaces and applicable new routes to consumers in your country as growth opportunities, in alignment with local leadership and partners.
  • Develop the business case(s) required for approval to expand your O&O footprint.
  • Nurture and grow relationship with existing partners to drive incremental sales.

Merchandising & Content Management:

  • Ensure all product and marketing contents are available to go-live in time/quality and optimized for user experience.
  • For all products within the country assortment, ensure on-time collection or creation of PDP content in accordance with corporate shooting and copy guidelines.
  • For all initiatives, collaborate with marketing teams to collect or create local marketing creatives in line with Maison marketing guidelines.
  • Utilize analytics to optimize site performance with regards to content placement.

Performance Marketing:

  • Ensure that the appropriate marketing channels are leveraged to achieve the KPIs of your sales channel(s).
  • CRM & Loyalty are an extremely important marketing channel in the luxury sector of our industry. Use these channels with care to build consumer retention.
  • SEO, Paid Search, Shopping, are often the largest tool available to drive qualified traffic. Manage the resources to attain top ranks in your area.

Team & Stakeholders Management:

  • Manage and develop talent in the UK ecommerce team.
  • Lead the relationship with external partners contributing to UK ecommerce performance.
  • Build synergies with e-retail and digital teams to deliver new initiatives that develop MH e-business.

Operations:

  • Monitor performance and improvement of operational KPIs related to Outbound, Returns and Customer Service.
  • Define in partnership with MHE Operations team, the appropriate measures to improve fulfillment KPIs.
  • Hold external 3PL and Customer Service providers accountable to Service Level Agreement of your country.
  • Identify operational improvement projects (e.g., payments, fraud) and collaborate in all project phases from tendering to implementation with all involved parties.

Site Development:

  • Identify opportunities to improve the UX and commerciality of UK ecommerce channels.
  • Provide collaboration and business requirements to corporate shared services teams charged with delivery.
  • Utilize analytics to optimize site performance with regards to content placement.

Contributes to: Budget Management (FTT + A&P), Planning & Allocation

PROFILE

Professional know-how:

  • 5 years experience in ecommerce, including experience in performance marketing
  • 2 years in a leadership or people management role
  • Experience with proven success in directly managing 3rd party service providers
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics tools required (Google Analytics, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with web-based ecommerce management systems (Demandware / Hybris knowledge a plus)
  • Experience with PIM system a plus
  • Basic skills in HTML

Languages:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbally
  • French is a plus

Skills and knowledge:

  • Experience with internal Ecommerce teams
  • Expert understanding of the Ecommerce landscape, including Ecommerce architecture, processes and systems.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all areas and levels of IT, Marketing, and sales teams.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
  • Ability to see the consumer perspective and act as their advocate.
  • Strong assortment and inventory planning abilities.
  • Understanding of key retail metrics and calendars, including markup, margin, sell thru, demand curves and inventory optimization.
  • Extreme attention to detail is a must for this position.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignment.
  • Ability to show that you can succeed within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
