  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK and also drives the global development of our iconic Gin brands through The Gin Hub
  • Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.

Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. As the world’s 2nd largest spirits market, the UK is a key location for our company. Since 2017 PRUK has also hosted The Gin Hub, the team responsible for managing the Group’s unrivalled portfolio of ‘Premium+’ International Gins globally.

On & Off Trade Team sites within the Commercial team. It consists of the on and off trade channels and sub-channels. The Off Trade team is responsible for the conception and implementation of activity within:

  • Grocery accounts (Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda & Waitrose)
  • Convenience & Wholesale (Co-op, Nisa, Costcutter, Bestway Wholesale and Retailer Partners and multiple wholesalers) this also includes our 3rd party field sales team - McCurrach
  • E-Commerce/Pureplay (Amazon & Ocado)

Your unique contribution

You will have several responsibilities:

  • Implement Customer Marketing activity 
  • Develop and agree activity with customers to ensure brand and commercial objectives are achieved 
  • Evaluate activity based on sales uplift, ROI, and specific objectives of each activity 
  • Manage the appropriate customer marketing spend v budget 
  • Manage projects and key channel marketing initiatives 
  • Any other reasonable additional duties that may be required from time to time 

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, your main stakeholders will be Customers, Brand teams, Sales teams, Finance teams and Category Management teams.

Externally, your main stakeholders will be Key agencies to effectively manage projects.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Can support the Customer Marketing Managers on both Tesco & Asda, with full ownership for planning and implementation of activation plans on key brand campaigns in both accounts.
  • Lead the full year plan on a specific brand, liaising closely with the Brand Marketing team as the Customer Marketing champion for the off-trade channel and delivering marketing activity that will increase consumer demand for our brands.
  • Can communicate internally with different teams to help reinforce brands and negotiate budgets.
  • Develop consumer intimacy with a focus of technology to innovate and create more value for the consumer and Pernod Ricard.  
  • Achieve results while balancing rigorous planning and flexible transversal collaboration. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
