About the role:

  • The Business Reporting and Analysis Manager is responsible to submit the full P&L reporting figures for actuals, annual budget and periodic forecasts in the systems used by Pernod Ricard (HFM, Essbase, etc.)

  • Ensures corporate reporting and planning deadlines are met.

  • Ensures IT solutions use accurate assumptions to calculate Rebates and Commissions for actuals reporting and performs bottom up calculations for budget and periodic forecasts for the accounts under the role’s scope. 

  • Proactively seeks solutions to streamline processes.

  • Responsible to integrate perimeter changes and ensure ways of working and processes are clearly rolled out and documented. 

  • Develops, coaches and manages three direct reports one of which is a VIE.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate all P&L accounts submissions from various stakeholders and report them in Pernod Ricard systems (for all reporting scenarios).

  • Perform variance analysis and bridges to validate reporting (all scenarios) and provide comments for key variances within the area of responsibility.

  • Ownership of master data mappings; liaise with the Business Intelligence Analyst to ensure systems alignment and data integrity.

  • Ensure the smooth and accurate performance of IT solutions sourcing and calculating actual rebates charges.

  • Perform bottom up calculations for forecast and budget on the accounts under this role’s responsibility. 

  • Maintain the price list master used in the calculation of turnover and rebates and commissions calculations; timely and accurately update of pricing information

  • Maintain standard costs and transfer pricing databases

  • Support FP&A Manager and Commercial Finance Managers by providing month-end variance analysis on net turnover after rebates and commissions and other accounts under direct responsibility(e.g.: travel and entertainment / training / distribution), leading 'deep dive' investigations into key emerging or unexplained trends feeding into the budgeting and forecasting cycles

  • Supporting the identification of improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes, accuracy and assumptions that underpin forecasts

  • Audit liaison on the accounts under this role’s responsibility. 

  • Work on local and group projects; liaise with IT, external consultants and the wider finance team

  • Ensure SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) are maintained and developed when processes change.

  • Develop, coach and manages three direct reports one of which is a VIE; ensure training plans are in place and followed.

  • Perform ad hoc queries on specific topics from FP&A Manager and commercial team.

About You:

 

Essential:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting or related fields

  • Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

  • Experience in Financial Reporting

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A goal driven individual with an eye for detail that can work independently and be adaptable to meet tight deadlines but also a strong team player

  • High personal integrity and ethical framework

  • Ability to work well under pressure and committed to deliver to tight deadlines

  • Must be able to multitask and manage several deliverables simultaneously

  • Previous line management experience

  • Systems: Hyperion/Essbase, Excel Advanced

  • Exposure to multiple currency environment

 

Desirable:

  • Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

  • Financial Accounting

  • Audit role in a big 4 firm (E&Y, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG)

  • ​Preferred background: Retail, FMCG, Drinks industry, Travel Retail
