Global travel retail is a growing and dynamic channel which has been identified as the key battleground within PR group. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the two largest, most iconic blended scotch whisky brands, in a newly formed agile company within PR. Position Summary

 

As a Brand Manager, you will have responsibility for the Chivas and Ballantine’s core brands. Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for effectively understanding, adapting and implementing global brand strategies. You will lead the development and progression of integrated and innovative programmes for our brands. Collaborating with the Global Travel Retail Business Units and Retail Excellence team, to align on brands strategy and activation plans against business objectives, you will ultimately be responsible for how our brands are activated throughout path to purchase. This may include above the line, Media/Digital and below the line activations.

 

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Understand travel retail consumer behaviors, trends, needs and challenges, to effectively apply the knowledge to consumer-first thinking. Consumer inspired insight must be at the heart of all decisions.
  • Understand, adapt and implement Global Travel Retail brand & promotional strategies.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager in the adaptation and communication of Global Travel Retail brand strategy to share with other stakeholders.
  • Support Marketing manager, shaping brand strategy and driving recommendation on brand portfolio and innovation pipeline.
  • Responsible, under guidance of Marketing Manager, of preparing presentations for company meetings, strategic plan process, budget analysis and updates.
  • Lead key global multiple stakeholders’ portfolio projects.
  • Participate in the alignment process of brand plans with local marketing teams to ensure local needs are considered
  • Co-ordinate research data and report on trends/insights, providing analysis to other stakeholders.
  • Utilize internal tools to analyze commercial data to inform or validate key marketing strategies.
  • Ensure the compliance of Corporate Social Responsibility policies in all marketing activities developed and support the global/local Corporate Social Responsibility platform throughout the fiscal year.
  • Track and monitor product promotions within designated markets and measure effectiveness.
  • Effectively monitor A&P budgets in the assigned area to ensure proper alignment with key strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure clear communication between Global Travel Retail and PRTRA (logistics & commercial) about new product launches & portfolio changes.
  • Deliver on a timely manner, brand merchandising guidelines, tool kits, suitable and relevant for use in Travel Retail execution.
  • Effective management of agencies when required.
  • Under guidance of the Marketing Manager identify to Global Travel Retail Marketing Team media plan recommendations.
  • Assure the excellence in execution of key brand project in conjunction with Marketing and Commercial teams.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

 

Role requirements

  • Degree in Marketing or similar field
  • Previous experience in Marketing
  • Experience in activation planning and execution.
  • Strong business acumen with analytical and solid influencing skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple initiatives with strong organization and project management skills.
  • Thorough and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient English language skills both verbal and written.
  • Presentation compilation and delivery skills
  • Can-do attitude and strong collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience in drinks industry/FMCG/premium or luxury and experience in both brand and trade/customer marketing are considered a great plus.
