Position Summary: The Trade Marketing Manager will work with customers to plan, develop and activate the suppliers’ strategic initiatives in the region to drive and deliver company objectives and goals.  The successful candidate for this role will reside in London

Role Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in spirits or wine industry within the region

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Localize global consumer and trade brand plans and guidelines to needs of individual markets, sharing any learnings across region
  • Provide one voice for brands and company, ensuring uniformity of plans and activations across all customers.
  • Collaborate with distributors to lead development of marketing, promotion and communication plans, ensuring execution.
  • Interact with customers to develop customized selling materials to grow the brands.
  • Assist to gather market performance data including depletions, shipments, inventory, pricing, and points of distribution
  • Standardize digital presence amongst region.
  • Educate importers, distributors, key retailers/accounts, and sales staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance versus spend and facilitate the submission and reimbursement of A&P claims.
  • Report any new customer or consumer trends and competitive market activity which drive commercial and operational decisions.
  • Inform management of laws, regulations and policies that govern a market.
  • Guide supplier’s presence at distributor meetings and trade shows.
  • Manage personal T & E budget. 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Highly organized with a strong focus on assessment and continual improvement.
  • Ability to work independently across many countries
  • Understanding of local culture and business practices
  • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes the ability to create a brand activation/business plan to ensure that it meets strategic and brand requirements
  • Excellent critical thinking skills - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Analytical skills, in particular gathering data from a wide variety of sources, and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiences
  • Good effective presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be customer–centric
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Will involve some evenings and weekend work due to nature of the industry
  • Will require international travel

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

  • Emphasis in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Strong knowledge of culture and trends in region
  • Advanced computer proficiency
