Description
As a rapidly growing business, we are hiring for a new, exciting and undisclosed venue concept in the heart of Spitalfields Market. That’s where you come in! As the Junior Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for selling and assisting the Head of Sales in managing all private hire opportunities within the venue. From book launches to corporate networking events, listening parties, live concerts, birthday parties and quiz nights, this new and exciting location can host a variety of exciting cultural and private events.
The role will also be ready to assist the venue team with any public events they organise to celebrate key calendar moments through the year.
In addition, you’ll be managing booking forms for smaller group bookings and liaising with the operations team to ensure that guests are well looked after on the day of their event.
This role will work closely with the marketing and other departments to deliver a varied and dynamic lineup of music and live events including live music, performing arts and other creative entertainment to cement the venue’s status as an exceptional destination.
What you'll be doing
Sales and Business Development
- Generating revenue through the private hire of spaces at new and exciting, undisclosed venue concept.
- Responding to all booking enquiries in an effective and timely fashion, converting them into paid bookings
- Producing bespoke quotes / packages (working with the Bar Team and food traders as required), and negotiating event details and costs with clients
- Proactively identifying sales opportunities
- Working with the Marketing team and supporting the Head of Sales on a calendar of campaigns around key calendar moments (Christmas party packages etc)
- Working with the Marketing team to develop all sales assets (e.g. writing engaging copy and selecting / directing imagery for use in brochures)
- Developing a database of local businesses in order to drive footfall into the venue and foster / maintain strong relationships
- Identifying and assisting with managing all private hire and event listings online
Event Management
- Delivering exceptional hospitality to all private hire and event bookings, from initial enquiry right through to event delivery and post-event comms
- Managing all suppliers required to deliver private hire and event bookings
- Preparing all booking forms, contracts and invoices for private hire and events
- Arranging necessary staffing to support private hire and events
- Managing the event on site during the booking, ensuring guests needs are tended to
- Following up post event with clients to ensure satisfaction, gather testimonials and ensure repeat custom
What you'll bring to KERB
- Proven experience of working in event sales, ideally within the events and hospitality industry
- Experience in venue and/or client account management
- A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Willing and able to work some unsociable hours, evenings and weekends - this is a round the clock venue!
- A basic understanding of commercial models and experience in using quotation systems
- A good understanding of the current London-based events and hospitality industry
- A keen interest in the independent food industry and wider food scene of London
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to talk to clients and traders in a consultative manner and develop long-term relationships
