We have an exciting opening for a member of staff to join our team at London’s first urban winery, London Cru, now part of Roberson Wine. 

The winery is based in SW6 and we require an assistant winemaker to work full-time in preparation for and during the 2018 harvest.  Post-harvest, the position will continue on a part-time basis to develop the London Cru brand wines, under the guidance of our winemaker.

This unique opportunity will involve preparing the winery and associated equipment to receive the fruit, then helping the winemaker with all aspects of winemaking for the 2018 vintage.  Post harvest you will be required to manage the winery and winemaking tasks on a part-time basis, under remote instruction from the winemaker, until bottling in 2019.

The winery produced its first vintage in 2013 and our award-winning wines are sold at Michelin star restaurants and many exciting London eateries. We produce small-batches of interesting wines and from 2017 onwards have focused our production on English wine only.

The role of assistant winemaker offers a perfect opportunity for someone with experience of winemaking over at least two harvests to develop their skills under the guidance of our winemaker, along with offering the chance to work autonomously post-harvest.

Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable.  They should be able to illustrate their passion for the winemaking industry and have a reasonable level of fitness due to the working environment.
