We are now seeking a Food & Beverage Host Manager to join our leadership team. This hands-on role is central to the smooth running of the clubhouse and F&B operation, combining exceptional service delivery with confident team leadership and operational oversight.

About the Role

As Food & Beverage Host Manager, you’ll take ownership of daily clubhouse operations, ensuring every guest experience reflects the high standards and values of Knebworth Golf Club. You’ll lead by example, support and motivate the Host Team, and work closely with the Club Operations Manager and Head Chef to deliver seamless service across all food and beverage activities — from member dining and bar service to weddings, wakes, and golf society events.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), with a balance of weekday and weekend shifts to support both everyday operations and club events.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the clubhouse, ensuring exceptional service across all areas.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the Host Team to deliver outstanding member and guest experiences.
• Manage rotas, team welfare, and on-shift communication to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and Club Operations Manager to plan and deliver club and private events.
• Maintain cellar and stock control, including ordering, rotation, and product quality checks.
• Uphold health & safety, food safety, and licensing standards.
• Ensure the clubhouse environment is always clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Take an active lead during functions, ensuring service standards are consistently met.
• Support with training, appraisals, and performance development.
• Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for members and guests during service.

About You

You’ll be a positive, energetic hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team and creating memorable experiences. You’ll bring:

• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role within hospitality, ideally in a golf club, hotel, or event setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, calm, and organised approach to service.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in presentation.
• The flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
