The Opportunity
Brand building is at the center of everything we do. We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing professional to join our team as Business Development Manager. This part-time role (2 days per week) offers a unique opportunity to bring your own personal touch to the growth of the Digby brand, working with both existing and new trade customers across the UK.
The Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will have shared responsibility for the UK Trade Sales Channel, collaborating closely with our existing Marketing Manager. While they focus on the UK-wide trade and Export, your remit will be laser-focused on:
β On-Trade Sales in London: Taking the lead in the capital with a primary focus on working with our distributor to achieve high-impact new business development.
β Structure targeted growth plans for new customer acquisition.
β Launch and look after new partnerships, co-ordinating with team members ensuring brand engagement and customer support plans.
β Takes the lead with distributor relationship management.
β Manage and grow existing relationships.
β Targeted selling to prestige accounts across the rest of the country. Developing and maintaining relationships with current key accounts and developing on trade and indies accounts within the rest of the country.
β Occasional Event Support: Brand event support and collaboration with the rest of the team members. This would support new product / vintages launches with both consumer and trade.
Who You Are
We are looking for a respected wine expert who balances commercial "muscle" with a deep understanding of luxury brand building.

β Respected Expertise: You hold high-level wine qualifications and have a deep passion for the role wine plays in people’s lives.
β Sales Hunter & Closer: You have a strong sales orientation and a sophisticated understanding of wine trade buying processes and negotiation tactics.
β Commercial Strategist: You possess the judgment to prioritize your two days for maximum effect and have a structured ability to plan and execute.
β Networking Pro: You are a natural connector with a strong grasp of the underlying motivations in brand building.
β Team Leader & Player: You offer intuitive leadership and have experience translating company goals into team success. You aren't afraid to "pitch in" where needed.
β Communicator: You possess effective, persuasive communication skills—both written and verbal.
