Gain hands-on experience in organic viticulture at one of England’s award-winning vineyards!

Davenport Vineyards is an established organic vineyard in the village of Horsmonden, West Kent. Founded in 1991, Davenport has been producing award-winning English wines for over 30 years and is recognised as a pioneer of organic viticulture in the UK. Today we farm around 60 acres of organically certified vines and in 2024 moved into our new purpose-built winery.

We are looking for a student or early-career candidate to join our small, friendly team. This role is mainly outdoors in the vineyard, with a small amount of time in the winery, giving hands-on experience of both vine and wine. We are seeking someone enthusiastic, practical, and keen to learn during the growing season.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Vineyard work (main focus): shoot thinning, tucking up, fruit thinning, and general canopy management

·        Winery experience (occasional): labelling, disgorging, and bottling

 

Details:

·        Dates: May – end of summer

·        Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm

·        Pay: Competitive rate of pay

·        Location: Horsmonden, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN12 8EF

·        Accommodation: Potential on-site accommodation available

 

Additional Information:

·        This role involves working outdoors in all weather and requires a good level of physical fitness.

·        Own transport may be helpful due to our rural location.
