This is a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge and learn about all aspects of a wine business. After completion of your training period, you will be sponsored to complete the WSET Diploma Level 4 to further your studies.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting in every aspect of day-to-day store operations involving accepting goods in, stock replenishment and most importantly increasing sales as well as other ad hock tasks. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss wine with customers, and broaden your tasting experience through in-store tastings. We also specialise in running tastings led by the winemakers themselves, which is a great opportunity to meet high profile industry experts, and taste a range of iconic wines.
You must be highly motivated, have a deep understanding of excellent customer service, commercial awareness as well as being friendly and approachable.
We have high expectations of our staff, and consequently we will pay above market rate for the right candidate.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of the following:
· A full clean UK driving licence
· Wine retail experience
· WSET Level 3 Advanced
· Exceptional customer service skills, good common sense and a friendly manner.
· Strong communication skills with an excellent command of both written & spoken English
· IT literacy (EPOS experience an advantage)
· UK resident and live within a reasonable travel time of Highbury
