JOB DESCRIPTION & SELECTION CRITERIA
Food & Beverage Supervisor
Henley Regatta Monday 30th June to Sunday 6th July 2025
£14.14 per hour
Regatta is a six-day event set in the grounds of Phyllis Court Club, on the banks of the River Thames. We have a number of bars and restaurants open at the Club during the event including our Ballroom restaurant and Conservatory, the Pimms and Champagne Bar, the Long Bar, the Members Bar and Lounge, the Regatta Bar, The Riverside Pavilion, and the Orangery and Thames Room.
The Food and Beverage Supervisor position will be responsible for managing a floor or a double floor venue with approx. 60 covers. You will supervise a team of 13 including wine waiters, bar tenders, food runners and service staff. The menu will be a 3-course menu.
The role is very hands on, so a can do, and proactive approach is essential and forms part of our One Team ethos.
CRITERIA
- You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for this role.
- You must be available for work for the full 7-day period between 30th June and 6th July 2025 early shifts each day will be between 8.00 and 21:00.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent customer service and provide assistance to customers at the event.
- Experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor in a similar size venue.
- Managing staffing issues e.g., time keeping, appearance.
- Taking ownership of any guest complaints or concerns and knowing when to escalate to a manager.
- Using a point-of-sale system.
- Assisting as necessary with the movement of equipment or materials during set up and break down of events.
- Ensure the health and well-being of all customers.
- Using communication equipment, if required, in accordance with Phyllis Court guidelines.
- Act in a professional manner at all times whilst representing Phyllis Court Club.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS YOU WILL NEED
- Supervisory experience in a food service environment.
- Ability to lift, carry and stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hours each day.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Ability to work as a team in a public facing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ensure a smart image and appearance at all times, adhering to the standards of dress policy.
- Ability to make balanced decisions and keep calm in an emergency situation.
- Ability to use initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Black trousers, white dress shirt or blouse, black socks and sensible black shoes for duration of Regatta
