We’re hiring a Tour Guide & Wine Ambassador (5-month fixed-term contract) to join our team at Bolney Wine Estate. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional visitor experiences, bring our story to life, and help drive guest engagement, on-site sales, and Wine Club growth.

At Bolney, we celebrate the best of English wine, warm hospitality, and the beauty of our Sussex estate. Our Tours team plays a central role in creating memorable visits that connect guests with our history, winemaking, and the wider English wine industry.

In this role, you’ll provide a personalised welcome to every guest, lead engaging tours, promote our products and Wine Club, and ensure each visitor leaves feeling inspired and valued. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a flair for storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging tours covering Bolney’s history, production processes, and English wine
  • Create a warm, inclusive atmosphere for all guests
  • Provide excellent hosting and customer service throughout visits
  • Promote the Wine Club and encourage sign-ups
  • Support on-site product sales and promote tour-specific offers
  • Handle transactions accurately and assist with retail operations
  • Share insights on sales trends and opportunities
  • Support smooth daily tour operations and visitor flow

What we’re looking for:

  • Friendly, professional, and confident communicator
  • Strong presentation and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable speaking to groups
  • Calm and organised under pressure
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Genuine interest in wine and willingness to learn
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to travel to a rural location
  • WSET Level 2 (or equivalent) desirable
