Due to continuing level of growth , a rare opportunity to join the full-time team of one of England’s leading sparkling wine producers.
A senior role facilitating the interaction between Production, Sales and Administrative teams to improve efficiency supporting the continued production of the best quality wines for our growing customer base. We are looking for someone with experience and a passion for logistics, supply chain management, facilities management and overall organisation, who lives for improving and managing the efficient operating processes of a growing business within a vibrant industry.
From organising transport to ensure picking crates are in right place at the right time during harvest, efficient scheduling of resources across the complete wine production process to developing JIT process for dry goods requirements in line with sales volume forecasts. Along with driving process improvement , inspiring the team to meet and exceed expectations, you will also have no problem pitching in at harvest to help load a press or catch bottles off the end of the bottling line when the pressure is on. Coordination between the Vineyard, Winery, Sales and Admin departments will be a key part of this role so communication and people management skills are vital.
Working with the Executive Directors responsible for Winemaking, Sales and Administration, you will be given autonomy over the day-to-day running of the winery, warehouses and tasting room on site at Lower Wield. This would include ownership of the site facilities management , delivering agreed site improvement projects , IT and communications infrastructure , repairs and overall site maintenance as well as senior lead on Fire Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
In addition, as a Bonded Warehouse, we are subject to certain statutory reporting requirements and record-keeping. This would also fall under your remit with overall responsibility for bonded movements, EMCS, managing exports to all our international customers as well as oversight of the logistics involved in courier movements both under bond and duty paid.
