Hambledon Vineyard, England’s oldest commercial vineyard and a leading producer of premium English sparkling wine, is seeking a Warehouse and Production Assistant to support its winery and logistics operations.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, operating machinery, and being part of a production team. The role is heavily forklift-based, supporting warehouse movements, goods in/out, and production operations, whilst also assisting on the disgorging and labelling lines as required.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Forklift Operations
- Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently as a core part of the role
- Load and unload deliveries, including dry goods, packaging, and finished wine
- Move pallets, bottles, and materials between warehouse, production, and storage areas
- Maintain accurate stock movements and assist with stock checks
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
Production Support
- Assist with the operation of the disgorging and labelling lines
- Support line set-up, changeovers, and end-of-run activities
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors
- Carry out basic cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping of production equipment
General Duties
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures at all times
- Support the wider winery and production team as required
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Valid forklift licence (counterbalance or equivalent)
- Confident and safe forklift operator
- Willingness to work in both warehouse and production environments
Desirable
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing role
- Experience in food, drink, or FMCG environments
- Exposure to labelling, bottling, or disgorging lines

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
