Production Supervisor
(Wine Jobs:
Vineyards & Cellars )
Full Time
Hambledon, Hampshire,
England
Hambledon Vineyard, England’s oldest commercial vineyard and a leading producer of premium English sparkling wine, is looking for a Production Supervisor to join its growing winery team in Hampshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong production background, an engineering-led way of thinking, and a positive, hands-on attitude. Experience with labelling and/or disgorging lines is highly desirable, but above all we are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with machinery, and leading people by example in a fast-paced production environment.
If you are practical, curious, mechanically minded, and take pride in producing exceptional quality, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you will need to be a successful applicant
- Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience within food, drink, FMCG, or packaging environments preferred
- Ideally some experience operating or supervising labelling and/or disgorging lines (training can be provided)
- A strong engineering mindset, with an interest in mechanical systems
- Lead and manage line set-ups, changeovers, and end-of-run activities
- Carry out quality control checks, cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping of production equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues, basic maintenance and adjustments
- A proactive approach to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Competent IT user, including Microsoft Office
- Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to train)
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
Values-driven skill set
- A confident, respectful communicator who can clearly engage with colleagues and stakeholders
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to get stuck in and support the wider team
- A natural problem-solver who enjoys understanding how things work and how to make them better
- A team player who is flexible and responsive to the needs of the business
- Self-motivated and able to work independently using own initiative
- A genuine enthusiasm for wine and pride in being part of the English wine industry
- Someone who acts as a professional, approachable ambassador for Hambledon Vineyard
What we offer
- The opportunity to work at one of England’s most respected wine estates
- A supportive, passionate team environment
- Training and development opportunities within winery operations
- A hands-on role where your ideas and engineering mindset can make a real impact
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
If you are looking for a role where attitude, curiosity, and problem-solving ability matter just as much as experience, we would love to hear from you.
Hambledon Vineyard is an equal opportunities employer.
