JOB DESCRIPTION: Harvest Position

JOB TYPE:  Seasonal

SALARY: Hourly

REPORTING TO: the Winemakers and/or Cellar Supervisor

WORKING WITH: Cellar Hands and seasonal staff

 

OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:

 

We have various positions open to join England’s oldest commercial vineyard for the 2022 harvest. We will form three teams with the possibility to keep operations going 24/7 during peak season: a seasonal winemaking team, a grape reception team and a cleaning team.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Assisting in Winemaking operations

·         Grape reception

·         Press loading

·         Cleaning and stacking picking bins

·         Press cleaning

·         Winery cleaning

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

·         Reasonable level of spoken and written English

·         Relevant Wine degree (Winemaking team only)

·         Previous experience in a winery and cellar not essential but favourably considered

·         Forklift licence an advantage

·         Driving licence   

·         Self-motivated and well organised

·         Attention to detail

·         Ability to work long hours, night shifts and weekends

·         Ability to lift 20kg
