About the role

This is a hands-on, diverse and exciting role within the production team of the UK’s best Water Kefir. We are Agua de Madre, the brainchild of our founder Nicola Hart. A producer of delicious, innovative water kefir with health benefits. We are very much at the forefront of a new and exciting part of the drinks market.

We are looking to expand our team at our main production facility in Hackney, London, our ‘Casa de Madre’. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Assistant Head Brewer, to support our Production Manager Charlie. Our focus is on quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure that our water kefir is produced to a high standard. We only use organic and high spec ingredients to ensure our drinks meets the standards our customers have come to expect.

We are looking for a someone with experience within the drinks industry. Someone with good attention to detail, dedication to task and adhering to our quality processing. You will form an integral part of our small team so must work well within a team and be able to communicate effectively. You will work within our team focusing on the production of our water kefir drink and sustainable side products, bottling, fermentation management, cleaning and record keeping. Experience in drinks production, working on bottling lines and associated equipment is required, with knowledge of fermentation and cleaning procedures.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Ensuring safe working environment and compliance with regulations.

· Proactive in taking responsibility for ensuring good overall production hygiene and cleaning procedures.

· Preparing ingredients for primary fermentation

· Monitoring fermentations.

· Bottling

· Production of sustainable bi products: Culture shots & Remedio Naturale

· Assisting in our record keeping and quality assurance procedures.

· Ensuring clean working environment with clean as you go practices.

· Help in preparing deliveries for dispatch where required.

Experience and requirements

· Drinks production experience (ideally in a brewery/winery or similar).

· Attention to detail and strong work ethic.

· Positive and committed attitude.

· Strong communication skills.

· Legal requirements to work in the UK.

· Enthusiastic and personable, with a passion for the industry.

· Good references from previous employment

We are offering a full time role, 5 days a week (9am to 5pm). Salary range £30k to £35k dependent on experience. The role is based in E8 London. If you are interested in applying, please email your CV with two references to [email protected].
