Greyfriars Vineyard is located just outside Guildford on the Hogs Back in Surrey and within 10 minutes drive from Guildford Station and 45 minutes drive from London. The 14 Hectare site is planted with predominately the three classic "champagne" varieties as well as some Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. 

We are seeking someone to support and work alongside our full time vineyard team from 1st of December 2025 to the end of March 2026. Candidates will report directly to the Vineyard Manager and his assistant. The work is manual labour based and for the most part takes place outdoors. 

Duties: 

•  Vine Pruning 
•  Wood pulling
•  Tying down the canes 
• Trellis maintenance
• Bud rubbing
• Canopy management 

Candidates need to have:

• A strong work ethic, happy to work as part of the team as well as being motivated to work alone and in all weather conditions. 
• Vineyard/work experience beneficial, especially pruning but not necessarily essential as extensive training will be given.
• A degree of flexibility in working hours depending on the season’s weather.
• UK Driver’s Licence
• Valid visa/permit to work in the UK if applicable.
• Must be able to start work the start of Decemeber

Accomadation 

• Accommodation is on site and potentially  available for the entire duration of the employment if required. If required this will affect salary amount.

 

Salary is a zero hours contract, very competitive hourly rate and is based on individuals skill set and if accommodation will be required.
