We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join us at Greyfriars Vineyard as our Winery and Cellar Door Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in all areas of the business.

 

What you will do:

  •  Contribute to the production of our wines, including disgorging, labelling, bottling and any other duties as required.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of our vineyard as required by our Vineyard Manager. 
  • Participate in our 2020 harvest in September/October in the vineyard and winery. 
  • Support the Cellar Door and Events Manager as required, including attending outside events when needed, maintaining shop stock levels and fulfilling retail orders.
  • Execute the successful delivery of vineyard tours and support events at our Cellar Door. 
  • Welcome visitors at our Cellar Door Shop and provide them with exciting and informative wine tasting experiences.

Who we are looking for:

  • Someone who is comfortable working in a varied and often physical role.
  • Someone that likes being around people and enjoys communicating.
  • Someone who enjoys working both as part of a team and independently.
  • Prior experience/knowledge of wine and the production of the wine is preferred.
  • Having a sense of humour and a good work ethic is essential in this job.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and a full driving licence is preferred.

 

The bottom line:

  • Full time.
  • Temporary position up until the end of the 2020 harvest (late October/early November) with the possibility of continuing beyond this time.
  • Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional Sunday work/extra hours as required.
  • Pay: Based on experience but in line with industry standards.
  • Onsite accommodation available.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
