To contribute to the smooth delivery of food and drink services, primarily as a Bar Supervisor, by supervising the achievement of and performing to the required standards of the Food and Beverage Department. To ensure duties are fulfilled by the team to the best of their abilities and to address any barriers to efficient and exceptional service.
- To oversee the smooth running of the day to day operations of the Bar within the Restaurant and Food and Beverage services.
- Manage stock to ensure items are replenished accordingly by submitting weekly orders with approval from the Food and Beverage Department Manager. Further oversee the control and minimisation of waste.
- Update all food and beverage trackers and ensure stock deliveries are received and secured appropriately.
- To support management with and supervise the training and induction of new employees in line with the service standards of the hotel. Report any performance issues and support development as required.
- To ensure all repair and maintenance is reported to the Maintenance team, appropriately and in a timely manner.
- To ensure a full operational knowledge of all food and beverage items served in the hotel.
- To confirm all items are correctly charged to the guest’s bill and either paid or signed off.
- To ensure all service areas are clean and prepared for service.
- To liaise with the Duty Manager to ensure any problems are managed and a professional service is maintained.
- To comply with the policy and procedure outlined in the contract of employment and the Staff Handbook.
- To contribute to the success of the Food and Beverage Department by assisting with the workload appropriately.
- To recognise training needs within the team and promote a supportive working environment to produce a high performing team.
- To request an individual check in with the Department Manager as and when felt necessary for feedback and personal development.
- To comply with statutory and legal requirements by working in accordance with fire and safety regulations.

ABOUT YOU
Ideally you will have experience in a Bar / Restaurant Supervisor role, or similar, or an ability to demonstrate the required skills to step up into this position from a Bar role.
- An ability to manage own and coordinate others time and activities to deliver an efficient service as well as health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrate a friendly, welcoming and professional approach to your work.
- Have a good knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, ales and experience making cocktails.
- You will have the capacity to work with autonomy with a passion to deliver an excellent guest experience.
