Do you have a passion for wine, cocktails, beers and beverage and have proven experience as Sommelier in a similar 5 star environment? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Our Sommelier will work as a key member of our Food and Beverage team to maintain cellar stock and maximize sales across all beverage outlets including Grey’s Restaurant, Bar and Lounge and our Michelin starred ‘The Dining Room’. As Sommelier at Whatley Manor, you will demonstrate a flexible approach, equally happy to work in the bar and lounge, supporting afternoon tea, as well as sharing your expertise in The Dining Room.

We are looking for a Sommelier who will wow our guests, demonstrating:

  • A strong background working as a Sommelier in a Michelin setting
  • Excellent guest service skills with a background of exceeding guest expectations
  • A passion for great wines accompanied by an appetite to build and share knowledge
  • You will understand the workings of a well managed cellar and demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Extensive experience and a strong understanding of wine pairing
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English
  • An engaging personality, able to communicate at all levels
  • Immaculate personal presentation
  • Above all, flexibility, equally comfortable in all food & beverage outlets
