Winery Operations Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We're on an exciting hunt for a Winery Operations Manager to join our pioneering and progressive team, working at the cutting-edge of winemaking in this country.

You’ll be working in a close-knit team, collaborating towards a common goal, and using your own laser sharp initiative. You’ll plan, budget, organise and co-ordinate the activities and resources necessary for the harvest and bottling as well as other logistics in day to day running of the winery. You will be liaising with contract growers and winemaking contracts and manage the maintenance of winemaking equipment and machinery.

You are self-motivated and able to work within a team and independently. You are a good delegator and coach able to nuture and support team members; maximising engagement and well being .

You will also ideally have the following experience:

• Are confident and comfortable with the tasks outlined above
• Experience in creating and managing significant budgets
• Experience in a senior operational role within a production environment or equivalent’
• Experienced line manager
• Experience in resource and production planning for business with significant seasonal variations
• Experience of planning and managing maintenance schedules for production equipment including planning planned preventative maintenance.

• Due to the location of the business the ability to drive is desirable
• Due to working in a safety critical environment, an occupational health assessment will be required
• Ideally own right to work in the UK however we may be able to obtain a sponsorship certificate for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s skilled worker visa requirements. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the skilled worker requirements will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
