Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and organised individual to join our team here at Bouquet Wine Cellar. We are an independent wine bar and shop in the heart of Little Eaton, also serving coffee, pastries and toasted sandwiches in the daytime, with a focus on wine, local beer, local spirits and small plates in the evening. We have real enthusiasm about all that we do, and are looking for the right person to join our team who will share this passion about Bouquet.

The ideal candidate will be personable, have a passion for hospitality and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prospective applicants should have at least one year of experience in bar focused hospitality, however candidates with at least one year of experience in a similar field within the hospitality industry will be taken into consideration.

This role offers the potential for learning and development opportunities regarding wine knowledge, and so a love of wine is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve drinks and refreshments to customers in a courteous and timely manner
• Take orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions efficiently
• Assist with preparation of food where required
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, and work surfaces
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
• Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
• Assist customers looking to purchase wine both for in-house consumption and to take away
• Engage with customers to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

• A minimum of one year experience in hospitality is essential, with bar experience specifically, being advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
• Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
• Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
• Ability to work well within a team
• An interest in wine
• A personable attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
