An exciting new position has open with a high end, luxury sparkling wine brand based in Crawley and they are currently seeking a Cellar Hand to join their team.

The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday (08.00am – 16.30pm with 30 minutes unpaid break) and Friday (08.00am – 15.30pm with 30 minutes unpaid break)

The Role

The Cellar Hand is responsible to ensure high quality sparkling wine production through the efficient execution of cellar operations under the direction of the Production Foreman and the Winemaker.

  • Carrying out all winery production working with wine tanks and bottle stock
  • Operating the labelling line ensuring packaging is to brand standard
  • To deputise for the Senior Cellar Hand as operator of the disgorging line when required
  • Train junior staff and new starters

Experience:

  • Able to lift weigh of up to 20kg
  • Flexible to work additional hours during harvest season – October
  • Manufacturing background (happy to do manual work and has process mindset)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Being able to full out checking reports
  • Positive personality
  • Able to accurately follow detailed instructions
