A dynamic wine company based in Wiltshire in the South West of England. We are a leading wine importer, producer and brand owner. We work with wine producers from Europe in the main, supplying exciting and innovative wines directly to supermarkets, wholesalers and distributors in the UK, Europe, Middle East and rest of the world.
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with wine trade professionals and to develop communication, marketing and sales skills for a minimum of four months up to a possible eight months flexible within 2021. You will learn many aspects of marketing, develop client management skills and new business development techniques. You will be confident, enthusiastic and ambitious with excellent communication skills. You will take initiative, be proactive and eventually take ownership of your responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to express your creativity and to learn about how you can influence a company as well as discover friends and contacts in the international wine marketplace. The successful applicant will work from home. Some travel may be necessary, and this will be dependent on government guidelines. Salary will be commensurate with minimum wage.
Marketing
You will be involved in most aspects of marketing. Your day to day routine will include:
Brand Management
Writing Press Releases
Social Media – Managing all social media platforms
Journalists – Maintaining relationships with UK and European journalists and gaining exposure for our wines
Website management
Event Organisation – Organising trade fairs and consumer events
Wine Awards – Arranging the submission of awards
Label Design
Customer Communications/Mailchimp
Sales
Sales prospecting
New business development in the UK, Europe and Asia.
Sample provision and sending
Supplier liaison / Product Development
Liaising with suppliers for planning pricing and samples
New product development and brand creation
Required Skills & Experience
Fluent in French
Qualified to degree level in Languages, Marketing or an associated management or business course
Interest in wine and travel
Good numeracy skills
Excellent communicator and writer of English
Basic business administration
Good team player as well as ability to work on your own.
Desirable
Some wine knowledge or appreciation
Copywriting
