Blanco & Gomez Wine Merchants Ltd is a full-service retail merchant of fine wines and spirits based in Chelsea. It distinguishes itself from the competition, following the best practices of its retail category leaders, with particular emphasis on excellent customer service and a broad selection of quality inventory. We are currently looking for a Full Time Trainee Manager with the following attributes, which will be able to grow the sales, provide a warm welcome and give a bespoke customer service to our regular clientele.
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Management of stock movement and receiving deliveries on daily basis.
- Keeping the wine boutique in a tidy and clean environment at all times.
- Processing customer sales orders online and face to face.
- Ongoing customer relationship on daily basis, informing them about vintage changes and suggesting alternative products when appropriate.
- Placing purchase orders with a variety of wine suppliers and producers.
- Coordinating ongoing domestic shipments and compliant with customs documentation for international shipments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Retail and/or Hospitality management experience, ideally within the wine industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable with a high level of integrity trustworthiness and a positive attitude.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail as well as being energetic.
- Flexibility as the shop open 7 days a week, but share evenly throughout the team rota.
- Fluency in English and a good knowledge of French language will be an advantage.
- Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media engagement.
- Good level of wine knowledge will be ideal.
- Right to work in the UK.

- Salary between £24,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience with a proven track record.
