The Drinks Emporium is based in central Birmingham supplying retail customers who buy premium champagnes, wines and spirits customers and also supplier to the on trade (wholesale - bars and restaurants).
This is a new position for someone with an experience in online retail based at our premises in central located position in Birmingham.
The position will be to project manage and oversee the transition of The Drinks Emporium Birmingham to an ecommerce store and manage the operations of and customer service journey from online to instore. This will include customer services and contributing to the ecommerce content for the new website, aligning the shop and tasting events with the online promotions, stock management, seasonal promotions and recruitment of Customer Service Sales assistants and management of the team.
Skills Required
Excellent organisational skills and previous examples of project management to completion.
Ability to work independently
Excellent reporting skills on a weekly basis or more if necessary.
Excellent communication skills and ability using tech tools to communicate with team.
Experience with ecommerce online software i.e. websites an advantage.
Experience with shop epos systems, stock account systems and scanning / pricing software an advantage.
Experience with team management. Supportive – Able to manage team as a team player demonstrating loyalty and commitment to colleagues.
Good knowledge and a passion and interest in both wines and spirits. WSET or equivalent qualifications preferred.
Excellent levels of customer service. Clear and well spoken and friendly, confident telephone manner. Ability to work effectively with a variety of customers.
Able to use own initiative. Enthusiastic, proactive - anticipate problems and show initiative for generating new ideas to improve results.
Flexible – willing to undertake a range of tasks for the effective running of the department/business and to work the hours required for the successful completion of tasks.
