This is an exciting opportunity to join Defined Wine’s production team and develop specialist skills within a respected and growing business at the forefront of the English wine industry. The role is hands-on and will evolve into a skilled Production Operator position across our bottling, labelling and disgorging lines, while also supporting a range of additional production duties as directed.
You will also play an active role during harvest, contributing to one of the most exciting and rewarding stages of the winemaking process.
You will be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of our secondary production processes, working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to build technical capability within a modern wine production environment. You must be willing to learn and train in a wide array of skill sets and job functions.
Production activities:
· Maintain a clean and organised working environment in the Production Department.
· Set up and operate one or more of the bottling, labelling and disgorging lines.
· Take ownership of the production lines, setting the pace and leading other production hands to work efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
· Clean and proactively maintain assigned line/machines and workplace areas.
· Adhere to Quality Control standards and accurately complete associated paperwork.
· Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks/shipments.
· Complete other duties as assigned, including bottle handling, riddling, packaging, and stock management.
Procedures and protocols:
· Follow Health and Safety protocols.
· Ensure QC procedures are followed.
· Learn and regularly review the Standard Operating Procedures for each relevant workstation/operation.
· Assist training new Production Hands/Operatives.
