Defined Wine is one of the UK’s leading contract wineries, partnering with premium producers across England to deliver high-quality, technically precise winemaking and production services.
We are looking for a motivated and practical individual to join our production team in a hands-on role with genuine opportunities to develop specialist technical skills. This position offers exposure to modern wine production equipment and processes, including bottling, labelling and disgorging operations, within a respected and rapidly growing business at the forefront of the English wine industry.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, machinery, and problem-solving, and who wants to build a career within wine production. You will be supported in developing into a skilled production operator, gaining responsibility across multiple production lines and contributing directly to the delivery of premium wines.
You will also play an active role during harvest, one of the most dynamic and rewarding periods of the winemaking year, working alongside experienced winemakers and .

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations
  • Set up and operate bottling, labelling and disgorging equipment
  • Support efficient daily production while maintaining high quality standards
  • Take ownership of assigned production lines, helping coordinate workflow and maintain pace
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Carry out routine cleaning, changeovers and basic machine maintenance
  • Assist with bottle handling, riddling, packaging and stock movements
  • Support loading and unloading of deliveries and finished goods

Quality, Safety & Procedures
  • Follow Health & Safety and food safety procedures at all times
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Learn and apply Standard Operating Procedures across multiple workstations
  • Support training and mentoring of new team members as skills develop

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (subject to business requirements)
