To support the continued growth of our company, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work at the heart of the team at Albany Vintners as a Private Client Sales Advisor.
Established in 2003, Albany Vintners is a merchant specialised in selling the world’s finest wines. We aim to provide excellent customer service to B2B customers and private individuals, from wine lovers keen to start a cellar, to experienced collectors. The role will be based in our office just outside Cambridge, reporting to the Managing Director. Working as part of the sales team, the focus will be to dynamically develop sales and marketing initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Actively contacting existing customers to develop and maintain relationships to grow sales
- Managing new customers in order to gain a good understanding of their wants and needs
- Write and create bespoke offers of wines from stock and selected offers
- Prospect for new UK customers
- Keep accurate records and information on our system
- Be an advocate for Albany Vintners
- Happy to develop and manage occasional after hours events
Skills and Characteristics
- Proven knowledge and passion for wine and the fine wine market
- Able to provide tailored advice and great customer service
- Building relationships at all levels with good communication
- Outgoing and personable
- Self-motivated and proactive with a positive outlook
- Honest and reliable
- Confident working on own initiative but be a good team player
- Willingness to learn
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in fine wine sales or retail
- Experience of selling to UK private clients is preferable
- Knowledge of Fine Wines and the UK market. WSETs desirable.
- Good spoken and written English is essential. Additional languages an advantage.
