The Ash Bar & Grill at The Ashburnham Hotel is looking for an experienced and driven Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and help elevate our guest experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to take ownership of a busy bar within a well-established hotel and restaurant. We are seeking someone with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service.
The Role As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the bar, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bar operations and ensure efficient service.
- Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
- Maintain GP targets and control costs effectively.
- Create and develop drinks menus, promotions, and seasonal specials.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Work closely with senior management to drive sales and enhance the overall guest experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager or strong Assistant Bar Manager ready to step up.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong knowledge of beverages, including wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails.
- Experience managing stock, rotas, and budgets.
- A proactive, organised, and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
